Nanette Moreau


Nanette Moreau (BCom, trained Mediator, LLB, Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand) joined Utilities Disputes Ltd, formerly known as the Office of the Electricity and Gas Complaints Commissioner (EGCC), in April 2002. Nanette was appointed Commissioner in March 2016.

Nanette is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Ombudsman Association (ANZOA), the peak body for Ombudsmen in Australia and New Zealand.

Before joining the office, she worked with Harkness Henry in Hamilton as a consultant to the litigation and dispute resolution team and prior to that with Phillips Fox, Auckland. As a Management Consultant with Ernst and Young, Nanette was involved in the reform of the local government and the electricity industry in the early 1990s. In Canada, she held senior executive positions in the private and public sectors.

Andrew Greig

Deputy Commissioner

Andrew Greig (LLB, BSc) was appointed as Deputy Commissioner of Utilities Disputes in January 2018.

Andrew was previously Senior Manager Professional Responsibility at the Education Council. In this role, he managed the investigations and legal teams as well as decision making bodies, including the Teachers Disciplinary Tribunal, Complaints Assessment Committee, and the Competence Authority.

Andrew has had a vast and interesting career. He was a solicitor at Rainey Collins, and he was a pilot, squadron leader, and held various management roles in the Royal New Zealand Air Force. He completed two operational tours, including a year in the Middle East as a Military Observer for the United Nations.
